We spent a beautiful Saturday afternoon in Holmsbu (across the peninsula on the Dramman Fjord. It has become a bustling summer tourist destination with lovely shops and restaurants clustered around a pier. Ida Elizabeth has a shop with her paintings of typical Norwegian scenes in a style reminiscent of Grandma Moses. Ida Elizabeth was in the shop when we visited. What a thrill to actually meet her. She doesn't look a thing like Grandma Moses.
