The Doelen hotel is the oldest in Amsterdam...Rembrandt lived here for a period of time and painted the Nightwatch in room on the third floor. Other notable guests include Lilly Langtry, Sarah Bernhardt, and the Beatles. Great location, just the right atmosphere.

not a problem....we estimate it is almost 900 miles from Amsterdam. We plan to stay near Bremen (Bremen town musicians) Tuesday, Copenhagan Wednesday, and Goteburg Thursday. We are not in a hurry, so don't worry, we have no schedule except to be there some time Friday.
